Crucible Theatre Visit to see ‘Guys and Dolls’

The Cambridge Society Sheffield has reserved 50 seats for an evening performance of the musical ‘Guys and Dolls’, on Wednesday 8th January 2020 at the Crucible.

The buffet before ‘Kiss Me Kate’ last January was well received, so we are making the same arrangement this time. A ‘hot buffet’ in the Adelphi Room at 6pm will be available for those who would like an informal meal before the show. This will consist of five ‘items’ per person to be chosen from the buffet, plus a glass of wine or beer or a soft drink. In addition, a selection of desserts will be available during the interval, also in the Adelphi Room. There will be plenty of choices, including vegetarian, but please mention any very particular dietary requirements on your reply form and we will try to make a suitable arrangement.

Members who do not book the buffet will be welcome to buy their interval drinks or ice creams in the Adelphi Room in order to meet friends and avoid the crush at the public bars.

The cost will be £32 for one of the best seats in the theatre, plus £18 per person for the buffet. Your tickets, in an envelope with your name, will be available for collection at the box office on the night of the performance.

The Cambridge Society of Sheffield exists to connect and support those Cambridge alumni who live and work in and around Sheffield and South Yorkshire.

Each year we arrange several events for our members, including meals, walks, talks and visits.

Membership is free and if you have been to Cambridge University, as an undergraduate, a graduate or in a research or teaching capacity, you are automatically entitled to join the society.
